Notes Protection
While most management systems restrict access to user's data by implementing an authentication mechanism. Once you got into your information pages, the data can be viewed by anyone. And usualy, it is useful for operative systems.
Onyx enables you to add a definitive layer of protection for your system by giving you the ability to designate a note as a protected note. Once protected, access to the note will require authentication, and after viewing it's content you can hide it, thus removing the page from browsing history. Protected note prevents also all other note's actions such as edit and delete, from being performed without authentication.
To designate a note as protected, in Note Editor, check the box near 'Protected'. Thenafter, the note's content will be seen as a link with the text 'Protected', and clicking on it will redirect you to the Authentication page. After authentication you'll see the note with it's content revealed. Once you are done with the page, click 'Hide' to dismiss the page.
The actions of protecting or hiding a note are intended to restrict access or visibility to it, and are useful only for their intended scenarios. If you find it too restricting, you have the option to remove the protection.
To remove note's protection, open the note in Note Editor. Under the content box, click 'Remove Protection'. Then you will be at Authentication page, and after entering your password, the protection will be removed.
